Do I need a new buffer tube and spring to put on my RRA coyote carbine? It has a RRA operator A2 on it now.
Thanks

buckskull, I don't know anything about the rra operator a2 but if it uses a standard full size A2 buffer tube then you should be fine if not then you will need to order that as well.

I just ordered the kit from model 1 just to be sure I had all the parts but mine was for a new build so I needed everything anyways

If your operator stock is a non-collapsible model, you can use your existing buffer tube.

Any tricks to changing it out?

Don't do it. I ditched my ace skeleton and got the rra operator. Like it much better.

I like mine also, light, strong, quiet, easy to grasp and coon finger the rifle, and warm on the cheek in the winter months.

^^What he said. They aint the greatest off the bench/rear bag but they sure do hunt well off sticks! I have a few.

The only trick to getting them on is getting the foam on the buffer tube. I use a dab of CLP or Friction Defense and some guys use a bit of water/dish soap. You'll see what I mean when you get it. I'm sure some rem oil or WD-40 would work too. You just need some sparse lube to slide that foam on with ease.
