Add TOA speaker to fox pro or make home made caller?

The loss of efficiency is the only issue that I see from what you want to do. The built in horn on the newer WT's is more efficient (will play louder) than the TOA SC-610. I never owned the original WT's, so I am not sure if the were using the same driver back then.

It makes sense that I will lose volume but I'm willing to lose some volume for portability.

I mostly got into e-calling because I want to hunt cougar; longer sets, unique cat vocalizations. From what I've read I'll need to cut a fresh track to have the best success and where I hunt that means a lot of walking; private timber, locked gates. This caller may not have been the best choice for my needs (portability) but it was a good price and had cougar vocals on it.

It uses a 30W TOA now so I would assume the electronics (driver) could handle the 10W TOA. I know nothing about the electronics aspect of these callers so I just wanted to make sure either the 610 or 610T would work, but maybe it's not that simple.

I've tried to contact WT regarding this question about converting to the 10W TOA but have been unsuccessful using both phone & email.

Power rating is less for the 610 vs 630, but I really doubt that this will be an issue with the battery powered amp in these callers. Distortion is the biggest killer of speakers, but horns tend to be very robust.

If you remove the transformer in the back of the speaker and wire it up as the regular sc-610 speaker it should have room for a amplifier.
