Do any of you know of any good aerial or satelite mapping programs? Preferrably free?

I've tried Google Earth and the images for one are very old. Do any of you use Earth for your hunting?

I've used google earth quite a bit over the years. I find at least my area to be pretty recent photos. In fact on photo I could see my truck at my local watering hole.

Google Earth is the best I have found, but I havent looked much.

Try talking to your nearest local air port. Its suprising what those guys will help out with. If anyone makes trips around your area ask it they can take some pictures.

A buddy of mine just got his wife a gift certificate for a local sightseeing flight. Take a friend, wife and/or girlfriend(

If u have a i phone get tge free app antler insanity. You can mark your stands look at em on a satelite image and it shows wind in image and you can get weather.

another good app that I have on my Iphone and use alot is scoutlookweather. you can mark locations, see weather and wind forecast. the maps are satellite, topo or hybrid.
It also syncs anything you mark or add on your phone to their online website (or vice versa) so you see all your locations and info on either device.

I like flashearth better than google and it is free, also know I wasnt home when they took the pics but the garden was green...

What do you mean by very old? Usually there isn't going to be too much of change in the terrain where you are hunting, unless there is a fire or some sort of natual disaster, or you are hunting in rural neighborhoods
