After Market BCG?

Are aftermarket BCG's "Drop in"? Meaning I know how to take mine apart and clean it and align the gas rings to function properly, but is there more "tuning" involved or can I just order a new one, clean it, align the rings and throw it in? Also if I order one for a .223/5.56 it will work for my 6x45 as well right? Same case head dimensions.

The Spike's bolt carrier groups are dang good! They are HPT and MPI tested, and they are properly staked as well.

RRA bolts are a little cheaper, but they don't have all the same testing done to them. You'd probably never have a problem regardless, but Spike's just takes the extra steps to ensure the quality control, which you pay a bit extra for.

99.9% of the time you will not have an issue with dropping in a BCG, but double check it for headspacing just as a safety measure.

Which BCG are you getting? Might as well get two since you can never have enough AR parts. Eventually you realize that you have enough "spares" to build another rifle. Or as I like to think of it "AR Reproduction"
