Aftermarket Savage trigger options

Looking for opinions/reviews on aftermarket Savage triggers. I have a couple of colony varmint guns with the stock Accutrigger. It's OK, but I'd like to replace it with something better. The way I see it, I have a few options:

Jard trigger kit ($85)
Rifle Basix Sav-2 ($159)
Timney Savage Accutrigger ($118)

Couple of my shooting buddies run Rifle Basix and they have been happy with them, so it's somewhat of a known quantity. I've read what I can find about all of them. Feedback is hit or miss on the RB, not much to be found on the other two. What little I have found about the Jard has been mostly positive. Much the same for the Timney.

Matthew, the regular Rifle Basix Sav-1 triggers are what I have. Adjustable to under a pound but I dont set mine that low. Nice that I could go lower if I wished.

[beeep] is all I've ever used for Savage. No complaints.

RB has been fine in 700's too though.

beep? For S-S-S without the dashes? This place gets more chicken crap every day.

I have several Savage rifles in which the AccuTriggers have
been replaced with S-S-S, Timney's and an RB Sav-2. They are
all great improvements.

The Sav-2 is tricky to get adjusted properly, but it is the
only replacement which totally eliminates the Savage trigger
system. I didn't need to call Rifle Basix CS to get it
installed to my satisfaction, but have read they will bend
over backwards to help.

For me, the Timney's were the easiest to install and adjust.
I really cannot tell the difference in quality between Timney
and RB when shooting the rifles.

I once had a real bad experience with a Jard kit on a Rem700
(never could get it to work properly) and did not consider
their kit for any of the Savages.

just a guess. but might stand for shoot, shovel and shut up.

if they censored s-s-s because of that it seems very silly.

i noticed it also censors t-h-o. no idea what that could be about.

Thanks for all your comments and feedback. It's too bad the S-S-S triggers aren't still around as I've heard that they are top-notch.

That's a good deal right there. I will have to get me one for my .243 AI looks like. Thanks Bill.

I have one on my Savage Target and another on a Rem 700 F gun. They seem to be good. No problems. Switching from Savage Accu Trigger to the Savage 2 trigger required the use of the computer to watch the video. Other than that, no problems
