I had a close one with a coyote one night while out camping. My brother and I were sleeping in the same tent and I woke up one night and heard a dog sniffing around outside of the tent. Me being stupid and young figgured it was another campers dog from a neiboring campsite. The dog was close to the door of the tent so I figured I would be a good guy and take the dog back. I turned on my flashlight and unzipped the tent door to poke my head out and a coyote poked his head inside of the tent. Talk about wetting yourself. We were almost nose to nose just a few inches apart. I did the only thing I could think of. I screamed and socked that damn coyote in the nose. I don't know if I crapped more or the coyote did but he ran like hell. Sorry so long, thought you would get a laugh out of it.
