Aimpoint or Eotech?

I worried about the battery life more before I found that my EOTech would still run a full day after it gave the "low battery" warning.

Maybe lots more than a day, I changed the batteries that night before it failed to illuminate.

So for hunting, I doubt that's going to ever leave you high and dry without an optic.

Yeah, you're pretty far out of the realm of "cheap junk" when you're decideing between these two.

Either one is going to be outstanding, I picked the EOTech just for the smaller dot. I'd wouldn't throw an Aimpoint away if you gave me one.

Eotech for me. It is a much more open field of view in my opinion. The Aimpoint is to restricted of a field of view for my taste, might a well be shooting through a regular scope. Then again, I have never been a both eyes open shooter with either, that may be my problem. Either way, Eotech XPS-2.

My only experience is with the Eotech. We run them on our patrol M4s and have had some pretty bad problems with them holding zero. They are the version with AA batteries. I don't have any experience with the Aimpoint.
