Air skinning a coyote

I tried air skinning a coyote for the first time. I tried it about 10 hours after it had been shot. Worked pretty well. I am definately not a professional, but just thought I would share.


 
I tried it. More than once in fact.

Didn't seem to make the skinning one bit easier. It did look cool when the coyotes started looking like good year blimps though.

It's one of those things that's looks like it outta work, but don't. My real would experience anyway.
 
I think if you would do it right away after you shoot them; it would work even better. I am thinking about keeping my small compressor in the back of my truck. I will simply use a power inverter for power. Sounds crazy, but if it makes skinning easier; it is worth it for me. I don't think the air is as effective on already frozen animals. I will give some feedback on how it works when they are still warm. Oh yeah, first I have to shoot another one...

I have done that also and it made a hole in the hide thesize of a volleyball, And the stink that blew out made the shop unusable for a day. It was working great till it blew!
 
I have a buddy that does that, but he purchased a small welding bottle with Co2 and a hose. Keeps it in his truck and skins them on the side of the road.
