Anyone hunting/pesting/trapping with an air rifle? I found a good way to go after these critters , I use 7.62 mm projectiles ( pellets & slugs )

Welcome to PM & tell us more about your setup.
My airgun of choice for coyote and ground squirrel is the AEA semi auto carbine in .30 caliber
I use a custom made 44 grain pellet/slug hollow point. I set up my call at 20 , 30 and sometimes 50 yards although capable of reaching out to 100 yards with enough energy left to effectively dispatch a coyote.

350cc air bottle
60 fpe
Up to 950 fps
14 in berral
Ar grip and stock
Baffled shroud
Rails for scope and night hunting lights

I've been sniping Eurasia collard dove over bait, shooting from cover from inside my bathroom. Been using them to bait a coyote in the lot across from my house. Hoping to head shoot it with my .177 marauder at night but haven't been able to be set up when the coyote shows. Birds are gone by morning every time.
Dumped out 4 cases of 7yr old bottled elk last night and nothing touched it. Go figure.

The air gun sounds interesting as a small game rifle. What caliber's do they come in? Come to think of it, I live on the edge of town and have some trouble with predator's and mt pigeons and chickens. Use 22 shorts now but an air gun should be even quitter!

PCP airguns aren't very quiet unless you get a silencer. Mine has a built in one (.177) and it's still as loud as a 22 w/shorts.
PCP air rifles can be any caliber from .177 up to 50 cal.

Brings up a question, Lance. Do you need to register a suppressor on an air rifle?

A .30 caliber is my go to for coyote with a donnyfl moderator to make it even quieter the power coming out of a uramex .30 cal rifle is a close match to .22 shorts when messaured in foot pounds of energy fpe

Check this custom setup , it's not my video but he's using something similar to what I'm using.

Sounds like you have a nice setup..

Ive been into it for about 4 years.. They are a hoot to shoot.. I have a 25 cal FX impact and a 22 cal umarex Notos.. I had a 35 Cal FX Impact for coyotes but I sold it.. The 25 does just fine..

I would like to get into it, but then I look at the price tags of the rifles and air compressors.

I watched a video the other day where they were coyote hunting with one. Once the guy got the drop down, he dropped a coyote at around 130yds if I remember correctly.

Shhhhhhhh.......🤫 In the airgun world they are referred to as LDCs or Lead Dust Collectors. They are NOT the same thing as a firearm suppressor and there is no need to draw any attention to them.......if you get my drift šŸ˜‰
