Alabama Boy Kills 1,051-Pound Monster Pig, Bigger Than 'Hogzilla'

Y'all are joking right????

Proud???

Look, I have no problem with someone killing their own meal. Whether my cow is slaughtered by my own hand or by the butcher, dead is dead. In fact, I'd rather do it myself. At least there is a connection when I kill the animal. If ya wanna step into a pen and kill your dinner, cool! No problem here. In fact, I have a guernsey that is ready for market. I think I'm going to have my boy shoot her 8 times (EXTREMELY poor shot placement (did you see the holes in the pig's guts (nearly four feet back from the vitals), stand five feet behind her, and call her a trophy..........). I'm then going to publicize it and hold the boy up as a hero. There in lies the problem. People that don't know better think this is hunting. You'd better squash it.

But when ya package this as "hunting," it really sticks in my craw. The anti's are having a field day with this, and rightfully so. If ya don't believe me, you'd better start reading something other than predatormasters. The pop already has a websight and was (don't know if he backed off) selling pictures.

This stinks to high hell. Hogs in the "wild" do not get to 1000 lbs. Hogs raised in a pen with no excercise, a trough in front of them 24-7 do. Then some schmuck in a golf shirt shells out 1500 for his boy to "hunt" the animal (no doubt shortly after it has been "released" into the 1500 acre enclosure), and bills the thing as shooting the biggest ferrel hog.... COME ON!

THIS SUCKS!

Again, if ya wanna shoot high fence, cool. No argument here. But this isn't even high fence. This is an incident of someone shooting a farm animal and billing it as hunting, AND then trying to profit off from it. This makes all hunters look bad. The pop should have thought the thing through. The boy will wear this like an albatross for his life.

Ya wanna shoot a 1000 lb hog with a weapon ya can't handle (8 shots with a .50 cal). Okay, call it what it is - killing your farm animal.

PLEASE don't even for a second associate this with hunting.

BTW, according the the website, it was the S&W 500. S & W is very excited about that fact apparently and wants to use the pics in its advertising.

Y'wannna make a bet.... This thing is rotten. Even S&W will run from it once the truth comes out. And it will, they're already being investigated for breaking two state laws.

The kid did nothing wrong. It's the ranch owner and the pop that oughta be taken out behind the wood shed.

Stout boy indeed.... The last thing they need is more bacon...

Sorry, I've a habit of calling a spade a spade.

Yep, it looks like Fred wasn't the wild phantom feral hog they made him out to be.

Those idiots involved in this really should be ashamed.

The S&W deal is likely down the tubes along with the video and poster sales.

As it appeared right from the get go, this deal was rotten to the core.

ole fred got a bad deal, another case of a canned hunts making the sport look foolish,no good for us,great for the antis, high fence hunting operation owners preach about unity among hunters and how we need to bond together and forget our differnces, thier idea of hunting gives the antis everything they need to destroy the rep of hunters everywhere.

Agreed. The canned hunt operations NEED (not so much want) our unity for their lucrative purposes. They really need to police themselves or be hit with all kinds of regulations.

The article on FoxNews website sure doctored up an article to attract the activists. Sheeeesh.

I have been waiting for this to un-ravel....I'm glad it finally did.....And kudos for those guys on this board for pointing out it was a domestic pig.....I think they should face criminal charges myself.....Was there no one there make sure to help the kid with shot placement...Those responsible should be ashamed of themselves for sending a message like that to a young hunter.....
