Director
O'Neill Ops in conjunction with Alamo Four Star. Taking an in detail look at the DLOC-M4X 30mm Scope mount. This will be the first review in a series that we will be doing for A4S.
As always fellas, Enjoy!

Great review! I was interested in this mount, but have seen and heard far too much bad about the lack of precision that went into machining the ID of the rings. Has Alamo Four Star refined their technique? Would you show us a picture of the OUTSIDE of that scope after you took it out of the rings? Even in the video, I could see distinct ridges on the ID of the bottom ring halves.
Not mine, but one of multiple mounts I have seen issues reported on from them:

I called Alamo Four Star and was told:

-A bad batch DID get out.
-A different company now machines all of their 30mm mounts, as of 6mo ago, roughly.
-I was told the mount weighed 4.8oz, which, quite frankly, would be absurdly light/amazing considering that my non-QD Ti/7075 NF Unimount weighs 5.4oz. Did you weight this mount/is that accurate?

Yes this mount is light, VERY light, and there is no lack of precision, ring marks etc. I can get pics of the optic without the mount after a solid mount and many rounds down range to verify there are no marks on the tube.
