Awesome. Never seen one here. I once saw, from a distance, an all white turkey in a mess of regular wild turkeys. And almost caught an albino alligator lizard as a kid but it got away. Cool to see weird color morphs of wild animals.

I have a cell phone video of an all-white hen turkey mixed in with a fall flock of around twenty normal-colored turkeys. It is the only off-colored animal I have ever seen wild in the woods.

I grew up in Rockport Indiana and it's loaded with albino squirrels. Many years ago in the 50s or 60s a man named Laird Schoonfeld brought in several from Olney Illinois and got them started.

I had one an albino about 1/2 mile from my house, it hung around the railroad right-a-way for several years. Driving thru New Ulm, Mn I saw an all black squirrel. Very few Gray's where I grew up, fox squirrel and some little red squirrel. Hate those red squirrels, going to have a suppressed PCP air rifle for bow season this year.

Red squirrels. Noisy little buggers.

However, I found them to be a great training source for kids learning to hunt.

You can hear them chatter, so send the kid with a .22LR to stalk that squirrel. If the kid blows the stalk, there is usually another squirrel chattering close by. In a good day, they can stalk a bunch of times, and, tomorrow they can do it again.

The kid gets 3-4 Reds, start a campfire and BBQ the Reds, and go heavy on the BBQ sauce, as the Reds are not so tasty.

My son and his buddy are now 39yo, and love to hunt, with many fond memories of chasing Reds through the Colorado mountains.

Going through all my photos and finally uncovered the albino grackle (blackbird down here  ) It's the only albino I've come across in70 years in the brush and this was in my front yard. :ROFLMAO:
