All Time Greatest Sounds

Alright, this is a pretty stright forward one. What is the most productive sound that you've used in calling critters? Who did the recording(FoxPro, Johnny Stewart, WT, WR, Minaska, Custom)? Maybe to further this one after the most productive sound, people could break it down into some categories.

Best Coyote Sound?

Best RedFox Sount?

Best GrayFox Sound?

Best Bobcat Sound?

I want to try and replicate the "Best" sound with my digital recorder and a mouthcall. Tinker with it in Goldwave and then email it out to people to test. This is a basic test to see if a man made sound, digitally enhanced/changed will work as well. I'll email it out for free to anybody who wants it. I'll post when I'm complete with the sound. Thanks for the help.

Best Coyote Sound? Johnny Stewart, CT 116C Yellowhammer Woodpecker.

Best RedFox Sound? Haven't personally called Red Fox.

Best GrayFox Sound? Johnny Stewart, CT 116C Yellowhammer Woodpecker.

Best Bobcat Sound? Johnny Stewart, CT 116C Yellowhammer Woodpecker.

As far as "E" sounds, the Johnny Stewart, CT 116C Yellowhammer Woodpecker sound is the one I've used most over the years. That said, I've probably called more coyotes and Gray Fox with handcalls as I used handcalls more often than the old cassette player. If I had to pare down my JS tape collection to just one tape, I'd keep the CT 116C Yellowhammer Woodpecker.

My assumption is that you are asking for the best E-Caller Sound?

Best Coyote Sound? JS, Vittles A’ La Jack Rabbit.

Best GrayFox Sound? JS, Grey Fox/ Cottontail.

Best Bobcat Sound? JS, Yellowhammer Woodpecker.

Best RedFox Sound? I have never seen, let alone call one.

hey snowcamoman, i have only called 1 coyote up here this year and was using FX3 coyote pup distress and female interigation howl.

red fox sound : i like the baby cottontail distress/FX3
and lucky bird or woodpecker and fox

I would like to see if you or someone could come up with some kind of a ptarmagin cackel . I hear those things cackeling all the time when im out on my snowmachine and i always see fox tracks in the same area.

Best Coyote Sound? JS 102B Baby Cottontail Distress

Best GrayFox Sound? JS CT113A Grey Fox Pup

Best Bobcat Sound? never called on in

Best RedFox Sound? Dennis Kirk adult and baby pheasant ,JS Cottontail distress, Mouse Squeaks.

I have several favorites like you all do.JS Grey fox pup for greys etc.etc.. but... if I had only 1 call to use and have to depend on it for any predator including bear I have to say JS Squealing Bird!!!If you have overlooked this sound or just never tried this sound thats ok with me!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The best sounds that I have ever used for Coyotes has been Johnny Stewart's Vittle's ala Jackrabbit and Yellowhammer distress.

I have 3 sounds that have work the best over the yrs for me.
all Johnny Stewart sounds too.
Yellowhammer Woodpecker
Superjack
Vittle ala jackrabbit. VM

coyote:? you tell me
red fox: foxpro cottontail dist and a jack distress
grey fox: foxpro pup, foxpro pup and racoon distress together and the lucky bird

Alright,
So far it appears that the JS Yellowhammer, Vittles, and SuperJack have the lead. I'll let this one go a bit longer to see if anything else pops up. I'll work on a Woodpecker/Bird Distress similar to the Yellowhammer/Bird Squeal and also a Vittles/SuperJack simulation style sound.

My most productive commercial call for all 4 categories above:

Real Calls (Div. of G.A.M.E.C.O.) Cottontail Rabbit Distress Cries.

Though I admit to having gotten sick and tired of listening to it myself. Pity it was quite so tired until I digitized it from cassette.

Still the most insistent-sounding commercial cottontail sound in my files

LionHo

Id have to agree, even though ive just joined the site js yellow hammer,Vittles, desperate cottontail and any other bird distress are the first calls lined up in my arsenal. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

You can buy the JS tapes from AllPredatorCalls.com

I don't want tapes. I want sounds that I can load up on my FX3.
Presumably some sort of CD but I don't know enough about it other than following the instructions on the Foxpro website when I switched out my sounds for some additional sounds that I bought from them.
Does anybody know how to come up with the right sounds in the correct format? I don't have a problem with spending the money but don't know how to get from here to there.
