Alternate to Ruger rings?

Hey guys, just purchased a Ruger Hawkeye in 6.5 Creeedmoor and
I really don't like Ruger rings. Is there an alternate base
system that I can use for Burris Signature rings? Would really
appreciate help with this.

There's some Ruger to Weaver adapters out there, but that's just one more part that can malfunction over time.

I would put a set of Warne or Leupold Ruger rings on it. You'll be happy with those.

Thanks guys. I might have to try the Burris adapter because I like the Signature rings. However, I've never tried Warne rings so I'll give that some thought.

I have a sack full of Rugers and they all have Ruger rings on them except for the ones that have a rail and I've never had an issue with them. So I gotta ask ... why do you not like them? If you have had a failure I'd love to hear about it for my future use.

I'm wondering the same? I always found ruger rings to be quite nice actually. I did have 1 break on me. But it was a used gun and scope I bought, and may have been tightened to death. The top of the ring tore like paper between the 2 screws that hold the top of the ring to the lower. It was on a 22mag rifle. The vmbz model

Hidalgo,

The rings I received with my new rifle were 1" and I needed 30mm.
Ruger did send me a set of 30mm that are completely worthless.
The back rings when tightened all the way closed allowed the scope to turn free. No more Ruger rings for me.

Sorry you went through all that. I've never tried any 30mm Ruger rings. Knowing Ruger's customer service, I'd give them a call and complain. I'd be surprised if they didn't make it right in some manner.

Kinda makes me wonder what other Ruger owners are using for rings if all the Ruger 30mm rings are bad?

A call to customer service will have the rings replaced in the blink of an eye. I have probably 25 rugers and all rings have performed exceptionally well. I do have two sets of Warne QD'S on safari rifles that also work very well.
