Ammo boxes for handloaders?

I'm looking for decent quality plastic ammo boxes for my .223 and 22-250.Looking for 50 and 100 rnd boxes. I like MTM's but they are kinda expensive.I tried the Cabelas brand for my 223 but they are not tall enough for the longer COL. The ones midway sells are priced right but I have heard they are to short as well.

Any suggestions?

I've got some of the Midway/Franford Arsenal cases and they are pretty good. They've held up well and don't have any problems with the rounds not fitting. I've actually put a piece of foam in the top of the box to keep the rounds from rattling around in the box.

Jason,
I just bought 20 of the frankford arsenal ammo boxes from midway. the fit is fine in both my 223 and my 22-250. Can't beat the price. I used the MTM cases before these for years but don't think I will buy anymore, they are not worth twice the price of the midway boxes.

I dont pay much more if any for the mtm than the midway/frankford at the local stores, dont have to pay shipping.

Thanks for the suggestions fella's.I need a box that will hold a 2.280" OAL bullet. The ones from midway say they will go 2.300" but I have heard that they are not the measurement they claim.I guess there's only one way to find out.

Thanks again.

I have two 223 boxes I bought from Sportsmans' Warehouse here in town which are the best constructed boxes I have ever used. They are made by Plano Outdoor Products, whoever they are. They have actual hinges, and the snap closure is very effective. There is provision for a zip tie or small paddlock if you wish to use one to assure against opening. My cartridges are loaded 2.275" and they fit and still have "rattle room".

I recommend these boxes without reservation. They come with little stickers so you can write what is the contents, but I have found that a grease pencil works better for me.
