Another AR scope option...

For anyone else interested in low power AR optics, I'd seriously look into US Optics little 1.4X SN4s. I have been absolutely loving getting acquainted with this scope and its first focal plane circle chevron reticle...

The FFP reticle offers the best of both worlds for shooting predators. It offers TRUE 1X, so it can be used as a reflex "dot" sight with both eyes open, perfect for close in moving targets.
Crank it up to 4X and the tip of the chevron offers a remarkably precise aiming point for hung up dogs. I've practiced with this reticle out to 300yds and had NO problems hitting an 8" plate at that distance.

100yds, 5 shots on 4X...

Elevation and windage turrets are 1MOA which is appropriate for that mag range and the reticle can be illuminated in red or green.

US Optics is also a sponsor of Predator Masters...

Looks like a very rugged well made scope. A little on the expensive side with all the options but worth every penny no doubt. That's an impressive group(except for flyer) for 4x at 100yds.

I may have to give that one a try. I just have NOT liked the dot optics that I have tried on my AR so far and have always come back to higher power scopes.
Did you get the Mounts at US also?
I also like the stock on your AR. Where is the best place to get one like that?
thanks

Hey Salty,

The chevron reticle is nothing like the dot on my Aimpoint. At 4X, it offers a small aiming point at the tip, unlike the occluded 4 moa dot on my Comp M2...

That is a LaRue SPR 1.5 one pc. mount. Available from LaRue Tactical's website. I originally had it mounted in a US Optics Posi-slide one pc. mount, but @ 1.2", that one was juuuusssst a little too low for me...

And the ACE skeleton stock is readily available from several online vendors.

Google is your friend...
