There is a short back story to this hog Mike. A widowed lady that recently started attending a ladies bible study, along with my wife, got excited when my wife commented about me hunting alone at night, at my age. She said there was a HUGE hog that had recently showed up at her place and had tore up her yard in several places. She asked the wife if I might come out and try to get rid of it. I looked up her property and found she had only 38 acres, mountainous and heavy tree cover and had 2 small ponds. I made one trip to do a little scouting and saw that there was an active corn feeder the lady had just bought to feed her "pet" deer. I gave her a call and she had lots of questions about operating the feeder and I suggested it should be set up to attract the hogs first and deer would be ok. This past Friday was first trip to hunt and this boar came in at 9:30 PM. I would normally be using my Ruger American 243 but I had to remove the thermal and return to ATN for repair, so back to the CZ 527 223, 55gr Vmax at about 70 yds. If you look closely you will see hog's right eye is out of socket as he was stand broadside when the little dog barked! LOL

Dang Mag, it’s even better with the story.
Thanks Mike, you know we have all heard it said that a picture is worth a thousand words but, I like the words! I have always been very inquisitive and most pictures, without words, just leave an empty feeling. Anything in the great outdoors holds tremendous interest for me and in the case of hunting/critter control I don't feel like the action is complete without the story. Just the facts, Mam, just the facts! :giggle:
