Another Economical Ext Speaker Option

I was looking around and found these 2 shipped for $30. Looks like it may be a good deal for my scorpion after maybe having to change the plugs over. What do you guys think?

You can get the Speco SP5p for about the same price and it has a better frequency response.

Parts Express speaker: 12 watt, 8 ohms • Frequency response: 450/5,000 Hz

Speco SPC-5P: 15 watt, 8 ohms: frequency response of 300 to 15 kHz (15 kHz = 15,000 Hz) It comes with a 10 ft. cord and the 3.5 mm plug.

A Google search will find the best price for you.

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't checked Freq responses although it had crossed my mind. I'm not sure of the size of the plug on my Scorpion as I just ordered it and haven't received it yet. I thought I'd order a couple of speakers just in case I find the volume isn't loud enough and to use a few of the stereo sounds I had loaded.

Scorpion plug is the standard 3.5 mm (1/8").

Check out what I did for my Scorpion with two Speco SPC5P speakers. The pair were $24 shipped from http://www.drillspot.com and you won't have to change the plugs.

Thanks for the link. Got them for $22 and some change shipped. I took a peek at that project earlier today. Looks like something I may attempt in the near future. I was curious about how careful everyone is when they paint the interior portion of the horns or if since they are horns it wont affect the sound much.
