Congratulations, Troy, great write up and pics. Thanks for taking us along. That 93* w/high humidity after a rain sounds like our prevalent weather.....that's a bummer.

Gemsbok is on a par with eland as far as table fare and are very challenging to hunt. As someone said, the one horn just adds character.

Awesome, beautiful animals. We've seen them from the highway many times driving from Cruces to Alamogordo. My wife is from Alamogordo and SIL and family live near Organ. Hope I can do that hunt some day. Thanks for sharing your story!
