the difference between the 24 an 32 is the 32 has 2x digital zoom and higher resolution 320x240 the 24 has a freeze frame option instead of the 2x and the resolution of the 24 is 240x180. I don't id with it other than cattle & deer, I use it to locate and then id with the 760 I can tell you the heat sig of a big Texas jack rabbit looks like a bobcat or a small coyote @150+
Id like to hear what MaNavy has to say owning both I have never looked at a 24
Manavy what part of this great state are you in adn what nv scopes do you have?
Bingo, he's on it. I currently have one D740, a Pulsar Phantom Gen 2+, a Pulsar Phantom Gen 3, Sightmark PVS-14 rear mounted. I do a lot of testing for different companies on the quality of their products so I always get to aquire items at lower costs then usual. However that being said here is the list of scopes I've personally tested, most even hunted with.
Yukon Mini varmint Hunter 1.5x42 100 yard scope
Yukon Varmit Hunter 2x50 120 to 150 yard scope
Yukon Varmit Hunter 2.5x50 150 yard scope
Yukon NVRS Tactical 2.5x50 150 yard scope
Pulsar Sentinel GS Gen 1+ both 3x50 and 4x60 models 200 yard scope
Pulsar Sentinel Gen 2+ both 3x50 and 4x60 models 500 yard scope
Pulsar Sentinel Gen 3 Pinnacle 4x60 unlimited yardage IMO, Best scope for the money, but I only found a couple places that carry it.
Pulsar Digisight 4.5x50 300 yard scope
D740 Great scope, but over priced
D760 I personally owned one of these and I had to send it back because it had bad tube flickering. Would have been a good scope otherwise.
Sightmark PVS-14 Gen 3 Pinnacle Multi purpose as you know, depends on how you use it. Awesome exactly the same unit as the ITT Night Enforcer, even the same tube/housing and quality
Sightmark 3x60 Night Raider "Junk" useless past 50 feet!
ATN Thor, 3 different models the 1X, 2X and 3X. All worked quite well but are pricy, but not really when compared to similar thermal optics.
PS32 Great for the money out 500 yards for a human object
PS24 also great for the money out 300 to 400 yards on a human object.
I've also tested many of the ATN ngiht vision scopes and all Gen 2 or below models are low quality IMO. The Gen 3 stuff is decent.
Keep in mind that these are my practical use estimations.
Oh also I'm in East Texas just North of Houston.
