some of you know I'm a big shed hunter.
i love hiking its not about money for antlers its the hunt.
it all started with a buck i saw that was webbed on one side i looked for that antler for three years before i found it
i found three years of its other side
here is the pair

and all of them

i had kerry make a call out of one and i made a lamp out of the other.

the call works well
here is the lamp its the one on the right side

i wanted something special done with the webbed side i thought of huntandcarve but a friend from high school does a really nice job carving bone. he is sooo talented I'm at awe of his work i chose to have jim do the antler.
i'm vary happy with the finished antler.

he has sold his work at cabela's but he said they took to big of chunk to make it selling them there.
he works on elk shoulder blades i'll post a picture of one i have in a minute.
he wants to work on moose antlers but they cost alot to buy if you supply the antler he could do it cheeper.
he just ordered some fallow deer antlers and i gave him some elk antlers to try. brb with pic
