I am looking forward to getting one ... I think it will make a perfect general hunting , non dangerous game rifle for Interior Alaska ..... With FMJ spitzer BT bullets @ 2800 fps it shouldn,t blow out a fox or lynx ..And it will have plenty of potential for wolves @ 4 and 500 yards ... I,m thinking a rifle with a 20" barrel or a little less ........With 120gr TSX s @ 2700fps It would work great for caribou . And According to the Swedes and Norwegians the 6.5 is the preferred Moose round .... . No I wouldn,t prefer it over a 375 ,416 or 458 for brown bear . But the bears are sleeping when most fur hunting is going on ... [beeep] I was told there are a pair of grizzly 2 or 3 year old cubs hanging around where I will be doing alot of calling this winter ......It would have more affect on a bear than some soft point 22 bullet .... Un fortunatly I may get a 6.5 Creedmore , simply because it is available in a factory stainless Ruger ... It comes with a 28" barrel , but it is easy to buck them off ............
