ANy Arkansas hunters doing any good.

I'm new here. I just found this forum. Here in N.E. AR we have more yotes this year. In the last three weekends my partner and I have gotten three dogs and one cat.

Hi /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowingsmilie.gifarkyyoter is like the king in Arkansas on the coyotes. Hi Ktritch welcome! What part are you from. VM

I am from the north east corner, about 40 miles north of Jonesboro. Not very many coyote callers around here. people around here look at you funny when they ask what you are hunting.
This board seems to be very informative.

I was out there near Conway this summer. Called with a family member for fun while on vacation. Out of 4 stands, we shot 2. Lots of yotes out there I thought.

Hi Ktritch i grow up on your side of Batesville. I have hunted down that way a bunch when i was younger. Over around Stawberry Newport places around there or south of them. VM

I just found this forum last night. This is only my third season for predator hunting. Like Ktritch I get looked at kinda funny when i tell people about predator hunting. I still haven't made my first kill but I have called up one fox and two coyote. The first coyote got away from me. The second came up behind me and spotted me before i could get a shot. I am starting to understand that setup is very important but i still don't understand why i am not having a very good success rate. That's why i found this forum. Hoping to learn some tricks.

Like to say welcome to the new guys here!

I am fimiliar with the Lafe area Ktrich, glad to see you here.
What part of South Ark are you in JStockton? Might have been in that area as well.

I'm from Prescott over in Nevada Cty. By the way, I called up a double on coyotes yesterday morning and got both of them. Two nice females. I think i'm hooked now more than ever.

JStockton concrats on the double.
SteveM are you from around these parts. I love the area that I live in. In front of my house is Crowley's Ridge and behind my house is Cash River bottom land. Just after sunset you can go out on the deck and hear yots howling, it seems from every direction.
Good luck to all,kevin

Welcome guys....slow for me right now /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif Glad to see more Arkies here /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Ktri, I have been known to be in that area from time to time. Maybe even see you one of these days. I hunt all over the country. I know folks in several areas around you.

Hi SteveM are you from Ark. JStockton sounds like you had a good hunt glad you like it. I know how it is. Good luck hunting let up know how it goes. VM

I have worked and hunted in or near every one of you. Ilive in the nw corner. I have been able to go once this year and shot 1 coyote.

connected again this morning with an old jip. Are any of yall having runners this year. Three of the four coyotes I killed this year ran dead between 20 to 50 yards. I like the bang, flop method. What bullets are you guys shooting in your .223's and .22-250's.

I am shooting a 75 grain VMax in a 25/06 at 3800+ or a 60 grain Hornady sp in my AR....never had one move with the 25/06...the just plant their chins /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif DRT
