Any CZ Rimfire owners here? EDITED WITH PICS :)

I've heard that with the magazines from several people, but I'll be honest, I've never had an issue whatsoever. Maybe it's because I'm taller (6'4)?

I have several CZ's. My son's left handed 452 .22lr, my 455 .22lr/.22WMR, 527Varmints in .17 Rem and .222 Rem, and a 550 Varmint Kevlar in .22-250. I had a .223 Varmint Laminate, but traded it in for a 6mm Mongoose complete upper and some cash. The .223 was a little annoying because it was very Heavy. It shot amazing with several different loads, but it was a thumbhole and with a left handed son, it's hard for him to shoot. It was too much to carry through the sandhills.

The 550 has a flush magazine, but again, it's not any more/less comfortable than the 527's. I love the look of CZ's, but then again, when I was a kid I'd stare at their advertisements and dream to own one.

Finally went out and sighted mine in three days ago. I love that cheap tasco varminter mil dot! I sighted it in at 25 yards and then tried for groups. My first, and only, five shot group at 25 yards put five all in the same hole! It looked no bigger than about what a single .308 diameter hole from my 06’ would punch in paper. I then shot a five shot group at 50 yards. All five touched high and right. I adjusted my scope down and left. You can see the target below. I hit directly below but still right. I adjusted a few more clicks to the left and shot another 5 shot group directly on the red dot I was aiming for. It would guess the five shot group hole is about the same diameter as a single hole punched from my 35 Rem! What a shooter! I never tried 100 yard groups but figured out that at 10x if I rest the bottom of the first mil dot on the “x” at 100 yards I hit dead on but approx a 1/4 low. Someone was nice enough to leave 4 golf balls laying on the ground so I set them up at the 100 yard range a long with a shotgun shell. I hit all 5 for 5 first try! I’ll have to try for groups at a 100 yards next time along with figuring out my 150 yard and 200 yard aiming points. I was using cheap Federal 333’s believe it or not. I knew my gun shot them the tightest with the other optics I was using but never shot them that tight. They were consistently shooting .4”/to .5” at 50 yards prior and same small groups with CCi stingers. Guess I needed some clearer glass. I tried my scope magnification up and down along with parallax adjustment and it stayed zeroed.

I was obsessed with getting one in 22WMR and then I ran into a 22” Ruger American at Cabelas right before Christmas a few years back “discontinued according to cabelas” for $199. The first two 100 yards groups with 30 grain hornady vmax varmint loads measure .312 abd .314! I tried the Winchester’s next. They shot .594” and .614”! I was hooked. An all black cheap plastic rifle that I don’t have to worry about getting scraped up and shoots light out.

From my experience, I would have taken that Marlin and cleaned the bore vigorously and installed a Rifle Basix trigger in it.

Make no mistake, I am a big fan of CZ rifles and own three of them but my CZ452 In .22 LR needs a RB trigger and my Marlin in .22 Mag turned into a tack driver with one ......

So from my perspective ...... why buy a rifle that will likely also benefit from a trigger replacement when you can buy just a trigger for the “ride” you already have?

My Cz452 has the factory trigger. I polished the trigger group and replaced the spring with a lighter one bought from the local hardware store for fifteen cents. It’s brakes crisp at a pound or just under. Did the same with my Ruger American 22WMR. The only things I don’t like on my American is I have had the bolt come up quite a few times getting caught when walking through the brush. The other issue is bumping the magazine catch lever and having my mag drop out.

Wish we had a Topic on here just for CS-USA. They just bought Colt.
Would be nice for CZ Firearms and news.
Nice place to share stories and pictures.

I have a bunch of 457's, a 452 and still have one 455. I've tried a bunch of different rings, but Talley has been by far the best. They are more expensive, but fit the 11mm grove better than other rings and I don't mind the look of them.

This site is like a ghost town now. Another forum would just lay dormant like the rest of them. Maybe if we got rid of a few that see very little to no activity they could open up a new one. I don't see much reason to open another forum now.

If you're not afraid to spend a little, get a one piece base that slides over your dovetail. Area 419 makes a really really nice one, then you can use some quality rings, like Badger, Seekins, NF, MKIV's etc.

Who is actually running the asylum in some people's minds?

This place is deader than Saubier. Ain't that right, Bill?

No amount of revitalization will change anything. Forums like this one are on O2 24/7 until they quit breathing.

Fair point. Mostly because I dont want to continue beating up the old one and would like to have my son or daughter to be able to enjoy it when the time comes. Plus I always like an excuse to buy a rifle or two lol
