Any dove hunters in the house?

I am taking a vacation day for the opener. I love it!!

We take the breasts and marinade them in a mixture of olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and crushed red pepper. Then we take raw jalapenos and cut them in half lengthwise, then scoop the seeds and membrane out with a spoon. The breast is laid in the jalapeno half then wrapped with bacon and held together with a soaked toothpick.

They are then smoked with a mixture of apple and alder for about 1.5 hours, then finished on the grill to crisp up the bacon. A little sprinkle of "Slap Ya Mama" cajun spice doesn't hurt it a bit!!

Ooohh I can't wait!

a mojo dove will help bring them in if your in a place they don't want to be, but if your hunting a place they use regularly then you should be fine with out them.

Hey Cornstalker, dove are OK but I'm about ready to start busting some more crane. Just have to wait a few months on them. We just finished making the last crane jerky. That stuff is gooooood.

Me and Ben last season on a dove hunt. Best GSP around
