I used to live in scottsdale, and used to hunt around table mesa rd. quite often.

Got a fair share of dogs.
But honestly... you will have better luck closer to the city.
I lived on the VERY north edge of scottsdale, up around pinnacle peak/Troon North area... and shot the majority of yotes off my balcony!

One of my co-workers hit one on the way home one night... ON SCOTTSDALE ROAD by Bell intersection!

Do the community a favor and go nail some! Make sure you get permission though... I'd tell you who to talk to, but I lost the contacts. Been about 3 years since I was there.

Good luck!

orkan - just wondering (for somebody else), exactly where in Scottsdale were you hunting and how long ago was it?

[Edited for: well I needed to add another question and a spelling error.]

it was 3... better part of 4 years ago.

the farthest north-east tip of scottsdale.. (at least I think it was scottsdale address)

friend and co-worker of mine at the time, had about 80 acres out there. It was some great dog hunting. I have since tried to call him and line up a hunt, but he must have moved.

Yes, I hunt Table Mesa road. It depends which direction (east or west) that you go as to what you'll call the most of. If you head east, past the ranch house there, (the BAR-T Ranch), and head over the mountains, you'll have good luck with foxes and bobcats. Three years ago, I spoke with the folks in the farm house there and they told me that they have been having some pretty bad lion problems there, and even showed me some cow carcasses to prove it. If you head west, and go back far enough, you'll run into the north end of lake pleasant and there are some pretty nice dogs back there. You have to be careful on the weekends heading west, because there are quite a few dirt bikes and such riding the trails. Drop me an e-mail and we can head out sometime if you like. I live at 67th and grovers area in Arrowhead. Anyway, that's the readers digest version of it. Jeff.
