Any opinions on the ATN X Sight

It works great during the day and has an awesome FOV at night, but didn't work for me at distances over 100 yards even using a T67 illuminator. The picture was fuzzy in the viewfinder and the focus was extremely touchy. The Photon 4.6x is a much better setup if you don't mind the narrow FOV.

I also had to spend about 2 days reading through the forum learning all the tricks to make it work correctly (battery type, SD card type, settings, etc.) and I'm pretty skilled at tech type stuff.

I sent mine back after about a week messing with it.

I think this is the best description of why a person did not like it. I was thinking of buying one till I red this

I really wanted the scope to work as I feel it has a lot to offer. Friend of mine tried the 3-12 and I tried the 5-18. Both of us had problems with battery life, lock-ups, and features not working. Ended up going with the Armasight Vampire CORE. Not as fancy but works reliability. In North Alabama I am not shooting extreme distances, so the 3x power is ok.

I may look at the second generation ATN X-SIGHT once they get the bugs worked out. Have been following their progress on atnowners.com. It seems to provide an insight as to problems and any solutions.

I had several. It was hit and miss with the gen 1. I have a 5-20 on the way to try out. Here is a night video from a gen 1 3x.
