pick your host, it doesn't have to be photobucket. the main thing is that the image has to be hosted online somewhere. then it's actually pretty simple.
this software is old, it does not have copy/past or drag & drop support for images. you have to use the tags to display them, you can use either image or img tags.
you can either do it manually, or you can use the full reply screen and click on the Picture icon to do it.
First you need the location of the image. This is the url of one from drudgereport.com just now:

Hover over the image, then right-click and the click on Copy Image Location in the menu. That's how I got that.
Now to display that as a picture, it has to be wrapped in the img tags. In order to show you what that looks like, I'm going to break the syntax by adding a space after the img tags, which are in [] symbols:
[img ]https://www.yahoo.com/sy/ny/api/res/1.2/v8bH89yMOYdSNwIwmaPFng--/YXBwaWQ9aGlnaGxhbmRlcjtzbT0xO3c9ODAw/http://media.zenfs.com/en_us/News/afp.com/8d0e0c5850308463f2b5eb35ef51891eef6c3101.jpg[/img ]
the basic syntax is (without the spaces):
[img ]MyImageLocation.jpg[/img ]
Now I remove the space after each img tag and we have the picture:
Now to do it without typing it all out, switch to the Full Reply Screen. At the top of the reply box is a toolbar. The 4th icon from the left
is the one for posting pictures. Click on it, then choose one of the menu options.
That will ask you for the image location, paste it there and click OK. This will format the command for you and pu it in the reply box and when you submit the post, you'll have the picture (you can also click on Preview Post to see how it will look before you submit it):
