Anybody here think the word "Bible" should be capitalized?

Assuming, of course, that we are talking about the sacred scriptures of Christians comprising the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Not the entire word, just initial caps. It's a proper noun, just as is Koran or Torah or any other historical document of respect.

Dude, i have no Bibles sitting around my house collecting dust. They are all kept dust-free and referenced more often than you're obviously thinking that they are.

Also, i do not have a doormat made from an American flag.

Were you seriously judging my post by the grammar? I assumed you were joking so I took the liberty of joking back. I realized that you were right and I tried to think of an example when the word would not be capitalized to reply in your post. I wasn't implying that you don't read your bible. I know I'm not the smartest guy in town but I think you and Nasa are wrong about the capitalization.

Here is what I was thinking. The Bible is correct when refering to the Holy Scriptures. However when refering to the book hanging out on top of a desk you might ask. "Hey cholo vato, is that your bible on the desk, or mine?" versus "Hey cholo vato, is that The Bible on your desk? I never thought you read it".

I know I might be wrong. But who really cares?

According to the dictionary, when refering to a book or collection of writings constituting the sacred text of a religion, "Bible" is initial capitalized. When making a generic reference to an instructional manual, such as the "shooter's bible" or the "Cajun cook's bible" the word is used in lower case. It isn't necessary for you to agree with me. I just present the facts to be used or ignored, at your pleasure.

You see, a great deal of muscle flexing is going on here. These boys eat their Weaties. Nanni nannie Boo-boo. I caaan Speeeeeeeellllll betterrrrrrr than you caaaaaan. See how smart I am? I know Graaaaaa aaa aaaa merrrrr!!! Nannie Nannie Nannie.

Hey, Hey, Hey, What do you know? I do agree with yoooz guyz. And I will not ignore you. For my pleasure I will begin capitalizing the words, The Bible. Thank you for the enlightenment Oh Astute Ones.

LH, correct me if i'm wrong: i'm getting the feeling you think some people are picking on you.

You're not?

What are you... flirting with me? Actually, yeah maybe it feels that way I guess. Yesterday I got banned from PM, Today I bought a lotto ticket on Bob So/Cal's advise and he owes me $2.00, and now this?!?! "The sky is falling, The sky is falling." sniff sniff

Hey ya wanna go huntin' Encore and NASA. You guys seem like a couple of really fungis with the exception of the grammar and spelling fixations. The fungi thing was a joke. I hope you got it, and it wasn't a mispell. I really meant the let's go hunting and compliment part though.

Hasta la enchilada, eh?

Locosito, it isn't a fixation, it's just an awareness. I've had a lot of spare time in my life, so when I wasn't out hunting or fishing I went to school for amusement. I guess some of that exposure stayed with me. It seems a shame to let it go to waste and not share it where it seems needed.

Where do you go to shoot? The only place I've hunted in CO was East of Aurora off the 30, and down in Grand Junction. One time each. Saw a ton of elk around GJ but didn't have a tag. Went for an interview once in Colorado Springs and watched a group of bighorn from the company parking lot. Nice country.

NASA,

I hunt East of Aurora for Coyotes but about an hour and a half East. The territory is a bit desertish looking (is that a word?) I shoot trap at Cherry Creek Shooting Range near Aurora in Cherry Creek. I Shoot my bow at my shop and at Bear Creek Archery. I shoot the Bull on PM. You are right, very mucho elk-a-deers in Colorado. I hunt with a rifle for elk and mulies up near Kremmling Colorado. This year I will attempt elk with a bow. Lots of antelope here too, never shot one though. I have 6 preference points for a trophy antelope area. Give me a jingle when you are in town again.

My chick is from San Diego. We have been there a few times together and the only hunting I have done was spear fishing at La Jolla. It was spooky for me because I still haven't gotten over JAWS yet.
