Anybody running a Griffin Recce 5?

Seriously considering a Recce 5 (mod 3) for my 16" RRA Predator Pursuit. Anybody using one? What are your thoughts?

Byron I don't have any experience with the Recce 5. What I have experienced though which is limited to mostly their QD mounted CQB cans is that they seemed well made. I think there is better options for a precision can, not that they are bad, I just think there are better available when you factor accuracy, repeatability, DB reduction and price.

Kino M,

I'd bet is would be a SAS? I'm not apposed to SAS. What I want is a smaller/shorter 5.56 can that is light as possible but still has good dB reduction. If SAS has a better option then I'm in.

I'm not into a can that is 12 ounces a then has to have a huge break to connect to the rifle thus negating the weight savings. I also have no need for quick disconnect as I will leave it on the gun. Never understood the need for QD when you already have threads that are pretty quick by themselves. Plus the QD systems always interject another set of threads thus thread stacking. What intrigued me about the Reece 5 is that it has a very small taper mount break, it is short, fairly light and by all reports is very accurate. I've got a Spartan 3 coming from them now. Its an inexpensive can but seems to have all the features I'm wanting.

Thanks,

Byron

The SAS Eadrom is 9ozs DT, 33.2 DB's on a 16" barrel. They are TI, adn 5.5" I run one on my LWRC PSD with a 8.5" barrel and it's very pleasant to shot.
It works on SBR's as well as Precision 556 rigs.
I have them in stock as well ready to go,

other options would be the Griffin as you stated, but I have not been happy with the DB reduction. They are a great accurate suppressor, just not the quietest on a 556.
TBAC 223P2 would be another option, 7.2" 14.4 OZs dt.

I have the SAS, Giffin and several others in stock. Fell free to ring me if i can help.

So do you think the TBAC 223 is quieter than the Griffin Recce 5 on a 5.56/.223 AR?

I don't have the metered numbers. The TBAC, and SAS Sentinel are both noticeably quieter then the Griffin.
