Realistically, I think it gave companies an opportunity to put to use items that weren't selling well. But as soon as they put a green ring on it with a biohazard emblem, they can expose it to a new market of consumers that want to build a zombie gun just like the one they were shooting in their zombie video game.
On a side note: my buddy was telling me about some zombie targets he saw online that bleed and ooze when you shoot them, so I thought I would pass this along for your enjoyment

What's scary is when you are in a gun store and some idiot comes in and tells the guy behind the counter that, "he is looking for a rifle to protect himself against zombies". I started laughing and the salesman gave me a quick little shake of the head, like saying humor the guy. I was getting ready to ask him if he'd ever seen any of them.
This clown was dead serious, he proceeded to inquire exactly what the parameters of what was involved with shooting zombies, what range could he expect to have to be proficient at, were the ten shot mags going to be enough to do the job, how many mags should he have, etc.
The guy leaves and I asked if this was a common occurance as we rolled our eyes at each other, he told me every day.
Guys who can have a serious conversation about shooting zombies worries me.
