Anyone ever have any good experiences with Barska Varmint Scopes?

Nope. I bet you could start a thread the other way & get several responses though

I've had one for a while, got thrown in on a trade I was making, I put it on my 300 win mag a few yeàrs ago when I bought the rifle, cause it didn't come with a scope, long story short, it held zero, glass stayed good, it is also a 4-16x50, but in all reality its true power is probably a 4-8, it's OK for a budget scope when I was in a bind, I'm sure mine might have been a rareity, because it held zero and was clear on focus against the heavier recoil of my .300, your scope might work out also.

I've been through 3 Barska varmint scopes. I got one on sale, regret spending money on it, the other two came on rifles I bought, and were immediately replaced. I've played enough with them to have seen the weaknesses and realities.

They start out reasonably clear. Doesn't take long before moisture infiltrates. If they use any fog-proof coating on the lens exteriors, then it's not effective.

They have fairly positive click detents the first day, second time you adjust, you'll lose sensation on clicks. Tracking - when you can feel the clicks - tends to be ok through a box test, and they do seem to hold zero, at least through 6.8spc recoil.

If there's any glare prevention used on the at all, then it's not effective. There are only a few hours a day in mid-morning and late afternoon where the image is clear, but with any low angle light, or extreme brightness, glare has been an issue.

Shooting sub-MOA with crap glass doesn't mean it's a good scope. It just means it was good enough in those conditions to not screw up your hold.

Way. After putting in all the time it takes to get a shot, I'm not negating it all because of a crap scope. +1

Use the Baraska & it may work for a time but it WILL fail eventually. When? That's the bad part.

Had a good experience giving it away. Literally. Had one come on a 22 I bought. I had a Bushnell 3-9 that was much more clear, so I put it on and gave the Barska to a random kid for his airsoft gun. He was happy, and I was glad to put a smile on someones face. That's my only experience with it.

I have a buddy with one one a 22-250.the gun has beat around in his farm truck for about 8 years now. He checks zero on it alot but he kills alot of stuff with the gun. Another buddy has one on a muzzleloader and has killed a few deer with it. I think he has replaced it with a Vortex Crossfire.
