Hey guys, I am sure all of you have been a victim of the ammunition price increases (dare I say shortages?). My AR must be fed on a regular basis, so the pricing and availability of .223 has me searching for ammo a couple weeks prior to heading out to the desert. I ran across some ammo I am not familiar with, "fiochi", apparently it is manufactured here in the USA
. Can any members give me some personal experience with this I.E. reliability, accuracy etc? Thank you.

Don't know about the centerfire rifle stuff, but their shotgun ammo, lead and steel, is generally considered pretty good.

Ahhh, that is where I have seen the name before (shotgun shells). Well, if they have just entered the centerfire market, (bulk ammo specifically) they have picked a great time. It is priced competitively (per1000k). Sounds like the company is reputable...I shall try some and report back. Thanks for the responses

I'm familiar with it in my kimber 1911...its the only ammo to jam in it. About 1 jam every 20 rounds. Other than that i dont know much about it.

Fiocchi shot shells are not good buy any means. They are wonderful! Fiocchi makes one hell of a shot shell. I just wish i could afford to shot them more often. I think the Fiocchi crushers are about $85 a flat last year. Lee

I have used a little of Fiocchi shotgun ammo with fine results.

I recently got a Ruger Mini 30 (7.62x39mm aka AK-47 round). Got it with the intent of shooting cheap Wolf ammo for plinking. Called Ruger a couple times and they really emphasized shooting only ammo that is loaded to SAAMI specs and said don't shoot Wolf due to hard primers sometimes causing broken firing pins and extractor problems with the lacquered steel cases.

I bought a bunch of Fiocchi ammo for the Mini. They use boxer primed, reloadable brass cases made in Italy and assembled in the US. In a call I made to them yesterday, they said that their ammo is in fact loaded to SAAMI specs. I went to the range with the gun yesterday. Function was flawless and it showed accuracy around 1.5 MOA, very good for any Mini. So, I'm very pleased with it. Don

Just bought some 55 gr. Fiocchis and trotted over to the range to see how they would shoot in my RRA Predator Pusuit.
It was a nice still day and the gun had a total of 13 rounds fired through it since new. I fired three more at 100 yards and this is what I got. Dang, this makes me happy!
