Anyone have a Microtech knife?

LCC... I sold it a couple years ago - stupidly.

I've had both a Benchmade and a Microtech automatic knife and felt the Microtech was the more robust of the two. I sold them when the newness of owning an auto knife wore off. This was a long time ago, not sure I can remember the exact model of each that I had, things may be different now. That LCC was an exceptionally well built knife, very pretty and built like a tank and unfortunately it also felt like I was carrying a tank in the pocket. Heavy...

I had a shot at a Microtech for cheap. It was an older model that would probably now fetch twice what I would have paid. Microtechs are expensive, but most of them are quality knives.

As for Benchmade, I think some of their stuff (not all) is HIGHLY overrated and overpriced. I'm not a hater, just call it like I see it. My brother and father in law have had TONS of them. I could probably get one for free, if I asked.

The Benchmade Infidel, in particular, is an over priced POS IMHO.....

At one time I owned approximately 70 Microtechs.I had many factory models and several Customs. When the price on these knives reached an absurd level, I began to sell them.I still own about ten and have three in my EDC rotation.

They are the best of the factory autos on the market. The owner Tony Marfione has always had a talent for making interesting and durable knives. His business practices have been called into question numerous times in the past though. He is a strong supporter of the second amendment and a manufacturer of firearms.

I don't think you can go wrong with a Microtech.

PS: If you want to know about M/T's,here is the place to ask.

Number of years back I started collecting MT LCCs to the tune of 5 knives. Gave one to each of my two sons, my nephew on his 40th, and kept.2. One son lost his so he got the 4th. Never regretted giving them as gifts but wished I had bought ten given what they sell for now. Retired the da to the safe and bought the LCCS ma for carry. Then went to Benchmade for EDC and haven't looked back. Depending on the model, robust and holds up extremely well.
