Anyone Ride a dirtbike?

t/c223encore,

I'm a little offended! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif No really, I'm only 35 going on 36 this year, but have been riding bikes since I was six. My wife is a very lucky woman, lucky I don't have more spare time or money! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif For if I did, I would have a dozen bikes and a dozen cars. I love motorcycles and have since I rode my first one. Now with career, wife, kids, etc. I just don't have the time I used to.

I rode all my life. I have an 03 YZ250 noe and my son has a 99 KX 85 bored to a 106. I love the feeling of the wind. I also have astreet bike but not a crotch rocket a chopper. It suits me I am a 34 year old Kid.

Yep. Don't race MX anymore, but still play on pit bikes.

Been there done that. Use to have a 2002 XR 650L dual sport. I've also had a CBR 600R1, Katana1100, and a SecaII.

KD223, Cool pic, If I Look like that in the air that means I'm about to crash /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I never Raced MX, I'm not good enough, I thought about it untill I seen the Novice 125 class they was better than me too.

Can anyone help me get a pic or two on here, I got a couple cool pics taken before I went and got all black plastic. I like my CR125, I just like black better than red. Thanks.

I have a Suzuki RM125 with a good amount of work done to it. Thing has scared me several times...though it needs a new top-end right now.

I also have a Honda 250 "workhorse" for just crawling around in the woods.

Sadly, I had to get rid of my real baby. It was a Honda 250R frame with a 350X fourstroke motor installed. Lowered, widened, pretty much all racing. That quad would go like a bat outta hell. Handled excellent also. Just got rid of it a few months ago.

I know this is a dirt bike thread but I would buy a street bike first. Actually I would go for a Yamaha Vmax
And it's time overdo! Shaft drive is the only way to go for me in high powered bikes. First of all, you-almost-all can not beat on a Vmax or it will kill you. Second, the shaft drive has the most PHENOMINAL characteristics on the big bikes. When you come on to a bike driven by a roll chain the back end sinks a touch /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
When you come on to a large shaft drive bike, the torque lurches the back end up about 10 inches. OH what a feeling.
As I said you can't beat on one of those bikes. I will buy a used one cause I know it's never been beat'n on.
150 hp. in a 450 pound bike.
Another thing about the Vmax is the carborator has a set of butterfly valves that simulate supercharge.
You come on to her at low rpm's and you got 90 hp. but when you hit 6000 rpm. the valves kick in and double the horsepower redlining at 12000. The one I drove had a speed wabble at 115 and then came out of it around 120.
Like Daisycutter was saying, "You don't look down at the speedo too much" but I saw 170.
