Anyone Shoot 250 Savage?

I also love that caliber. Many years ago I used to load for an old Farmer who had one in a 99 Savage. I really liked that round.

I have a Ruger 77R that I picked up from a old gentleman at a gunshow years back. I have used it over the years as a varminter/plinker. Really accurate round, I use Winchester brass which just happens to be on sale at Midway this month.

Used to have one. Great old caliber for deer, coyotes, etc. Good bullet choices and acceptable recoil.

I have one in an old model 99.I killed my first few deer with it back 38 years ago.It is not shot much anymore but it's not for sale.

250 AI built on a Rem 788 with Krigger heavy barrel trimmed to 22" and Timney trigger, used for hunting and 300 yd F class shoots. The Rem 788 was purchased used and was pretty beat up. Got a deal on a used Krigger 25 cal heavy barrel which I had mounted on the action. I limit it to 300 yd shoots because of the 1:12 barrel twist. Here it is with the the hunting scope mounted.

Here are some recent, initial 5 shoot groups worked up with CFE 223 powder and Winchester brass. Still tweaking the load.
