Anyone shooting Hornady 75 gr BTHP for .224?

Didn't know hornady made a 75 grain BTHP but I did shoot their 75 grain HP and 75 grain Vmax. I shoot both in .243 win (which I assume were talking about?) with H414 and have excellent results. very accurate at 3560 fps for me. Hits coyotes like a cement truck. I shot one this morning with the vmax and destroyed the coyote. LOL

I think hes asking about the .224cal 75gr BTHP.
I plan on tring them in a fast twist 22-250, but have yet to send any down range.

Well I loaded some up and took them to the range with my girlfriend (who by the way has never looked through a scope before).

Load developing them and she was getting groups that would make any shooter of 5 years look like they had no clue what they were doing (believe me I know).

Are they really that accurate out of a Predator Pursuit 1:8 twist using IMR 8208 XBR?

I tell you with a 4 shot group it was about .150 and with adding 1 more (a flier I can only assume) made it a .600 or so group.

I really want to go to the range by myself the next time just to see if I can get them to group that well. But now she is excited about it and do not think I will be able to unless she is working.

I use the 75amax and 75bthp for service rifle at 600 yards - Krieger 1:7.7 barrel. 24.5gr Varget. Easily hold the X ring if I can manage to aim it there.

Started at mag length and 20 g of varget, hey that was good.20.5 was a knothole.2 guys with braked 300's showed up next to me so I packed it up and went home, went back to the range later in the week, shot 5 at 100,10 at 200 under an inch.Never even bothered with anymore developement and used the rest of the loads for foulers. That was easy!

At normal ranges accociated with coyote hunting, the 75 grain BTHP will make dogs VERY DEAD. At less than 100 yards it gets VERY MESSY on the inside.

I found these at a local Cabella's. It was their grand opening and the guy from Hornady was there.

He said they were very good competition bullits.

I am going to load some up with Hodgdon H322 and give them a test. Hope my test is as good as yours!

I just loaded up some Hornady 75 gr. HPBT to shoot in my Armalite National Match. Both 24.0gr and 24.5gr of Varget with a CCI 400 grouped very well. This was out of a 1/8 twist barrel.

I shoot the 75gr Hornady BTHP match bullets out of my DPMS MK12 barrel 1-8twist. No problems and very accurate. I use Varget for powder.
