What are you talking about? Speer and Hornady make lead tip bullets. Also Remington and Winchester.

Yup... the Honady Bulk SP's with cannalure can be had for cheap. and have shot well for me. I prefer them to the Winchester SP's that I tried. Good Luck.

I'll be darned, hornady does have a decent selection. Speer? Wouldn't touch em, never had good luck with their bullets.

Nosler, one of the better bullet makers offers none. Sad.

My old favorites, the Nosler Solid Base have been out of production a long time.
They sell Nosler solid based, lead tipped in Australia for the kangaroo cullers.

This is an interesting topic. The reason I say this is because I've noticed a lack of accuracy with the plastic tip bullets and have tried to stay away from them.

All I shoot out of my .25-06 is the Sierra 87 gr Spitzer. Nothing else has given me the same accuracy.

Noticed some time ago Nosler was offering the Solid Base bullets again but not in .257, now I don't see them advertised anymore.

I just recently tried the 50gr Sierra Blitz in my .221FB and was pleasantly surprised at the accuracy...now if they will do a number on some Bobcats without tearing them up I will have found my new load.
