Anyone try a rifle basix trigger in a marlin 25N .22LR?

I got this gun 14 years ago when I was 12. It has the Micro groove rifling. Its a very accurate gun but the trigger is quite stiff. For 85 bucks i can get the rifle basixs trigger wondering if anyone has tried this out? Squirrel and crow opens next week so i figured time to polish off the old marlin and fill the stew pot!

I put a rifle basix trigger in my 22 Mag Marlin, and I'm not happy with it. I DO NOT like the fact that over travel is not adjustable. The trigger is lighter in pull but the over travel drives me crazy!

Hmmm. For 85 bucks i might just polish the sear surfaces and see how that goes. As it is its a very clean feel. Just pretty stiff pull. I could also look at the spring and swap for one a tad lighter

Another vote for the the Rifle Basix trigger....was worth the price of admission for me....I put it in my Marlin 17 HMR....major improvement and took less that 10 minutes to do. YMMV!

The local smith charges $40 for a complete trigger job. I know the RB triggers are good, but they are double what the smith charges for a good trigger job. I would not consider an aftermarket trigger unless there is not a good smith handy or if his prices are too close to the price of a new trigger.

Well i took the gun apart and checked it out. Its a very simple trigger design. I polished all the matting surfaces with my jewelers files and swapped the springs for lighter ones. Id say trigger pull is 1/2 what it was. Nice crisp yet. Gotta get sling stud tomorrow and put bipod and scope on it and sight her in! Season for crow, and squirrel opens sept 1

I put one in my 925M. Can't believe the difference. Do it, you won't be sorry.

I did the same thing to my Marlin 917 and it really improved trigger pull for me. The only problem was it didnt allow the safety to engage properly so I had to modify the stock ever so slightly to get the safety to engage. No biggie, but it did require some more work than expected
