Saw these used on some of Randy Anderson's dvd's. Looking for that type seat to use for coyote and turkey hunting. Any comments, good or bad? Does it provide enough back support to sit for extended periods of time? I normally lean against a tree, but sometimes finding the "perfect" spot isn't that easy. That weight of 2.5 lbs bothers me a bit, but with all the other stuff I carry, it's probably a mute point. I have used a similiar fold up seat for turkeys, but I really prefer to sit down on the ground. Apparently my "search" skills are lacking, couldn't find anything there, I appreciate any help....

My calling partner uses one and he loves it. I dont know where you found the 2.5 pounds at but I pretty sure his doesnt way anything close to that.

My partner uses a folding seat he bought I think at WAL-MART and it probably weighs 2 pounds and sits about 3to6 inches off the ground for him it works well.Mine is a bit different it sits about the same as a 5gal bucket with an aluminum frame and cloth seat with a pouch for ammo or call remote ect. I weighs about the same as his and I can see over taller grass.

i bought a chair just like the Primos bark-a-lounger but its not made by Primos. i bought it a Kmart here in Redding,Ca. the chair cost me 16.00 and the air cushion i bought with it was 9.00 they are light and worth packing around especially after storms or on snowy, icy ground. i dont leave home without it now.
it folds up and has a couple strips of velcro that keeps it closed while walking and it has 2 water bottle compartments and a zipper pouch that i use for snack storage.

My son and I both use them and they work great. Don't need a tree or fence post to lean on. Set up where ever you want.

same here... I picked one up at Gander Mtn for around $15.00. I think it helps make for more stable shots with or without a bipod.

I found one very similar to this one at a Farm & Fleet Store for about $15.... It probably weighs about 2.5# and has a nice little pouch under the seat for water or extra hand calls, etc..It sure is a lot easier on my bones..

I have two that I use. Have had them for years as I bought them as bleacher seats when my daughter played softball. They are great for sitting on the cold ground and in Montana snowbanks. They not only keep the cold off of you, but keep your heat in. I need back support and they do a good job for me. Mine cost a lot less the the bark-a-lounger. Check your discount stores for them.

I have the Bark-a-lounger and it is great. It gives you back support and you can plop down anyway for a set. The great thing is it keeps your butt of the snow and ice, so your butt doesn't get cold and the snow is not packed to your bibs when you jump in the truck to move locations. I open the seat and carry my FoxPro fury, MoJo critter, and a pop. I don't have to take my pack with me. I just take off with my gun and the items in my Bark-a-lounger and I am ready for hunting the hunters. I only wish I would have bought a white one, as a fair share of my hunting is on the snow. I put white duct tape on the outside, which doesn't hold up well, but suits my needs for now. Also, if you are making sets close to your quarry on snow, be careful moving your butt around once situated, it tends to squeak a bit when moved. All that said I did a fair amount of moving around and have still smoked coyotes literally minutes later.
