You are right to worry about scent, but cover scents are worthless. Playing the wind right is the most important thing you can do when setting up a stand. My buddy and I always fight over the down wind side. That's where a lot of our dogs will come from. We've seen them pop up at over 1000 yards, and circle us to the down wind side, so they can smell what's going on before they come in. So we always have someone sit facing down wind to catch the smart ones. My buddy and I both smoke, and we never have problems killing yotes. A lot of guys say we won't be able to kill yotes because we stink (it's true we do stink). Lol. We just laugh and say they're our windicators. Haha. So pay more attention to the wind, and don't worry about the cover up sent. I don't know where you hunt at, but here in AZ we plan where we are going to hunt based off what the wind is going to do for the day. If it's blowing from the southwest to the northeast like it usually does in our neck of the woods, we'll plan to hunt ridges and what not starting from the north and work our way south. We like to setup with somewhat of a cross wind, with one guy facing 45 degrees down wind, and the other facing 45 degrees into the wind. It lets us cover a lot of paths they might make on the way in, and it lets us cover our @$$ if one decided to come in down wind. It's a good rule of thumb, but like anything, not always the exception.
