buddy of mine has a Model 70 chambered in 223 WSSM and he can not find any brass for it anywhere.
he was saying the other day he had heard that they have stopped making this brass.
can anyone verify that? or by chance know where he can get some brass at a decent price

I saw one for sale a while back, 223 WSSM. The seller was asking a high price, 'because they are rare'? LOL'ing..

If you need brass you could pay Gunbroker prices or maybe check gunbot.

My son shoots a Browning in 223wssm, and it is a hammer on coyotes.

Earlier this spring, I emailed Winchester about WSSM brass and was told they will make a run of it in 'the fall'.

So, in October, I emailed again asking about availability, and have not received a response from Winchester.

There is a place called Hillbilly Brass, http://www.hillbillybrass.com, that reforms WSM to WSSM brass, so if you need brass, it is available.

I'm so sorry. He may get over it someday. I, too, have a relative who bought one of these fad guns. Even 5 years ago, nobody would take it on trade for any amount, even in near mint condition.

Yes, thankfully it's also very rare for a man to get hit in the zipper by lightening. It's a good thing both that and a .223 WSSM are rare.
