Ar -15 .........5 round mags ?

Just read a post on ar mags.

My ? is who makes a good 5 rounder with a anti tilt follower?

2nd ? would I better off making my own?
I don't what a longer one "blocked". I would like them a just a tad longer than the mag well.

3rd ? .......If I make some ,how much longer than the mag body, does the spring need too be?

The 5-round mags that I make start life as a 10-round magazine. That magazine only sticks down below the mag-well by perhaps 1/4".
 
I bought some that came with two followers 5 round and 9 round. Bought em local but these seem to be same ones:

Are you in a state that limits to five rounds or are you just getting redy to be PC? I have twenty rounders in my 243 they only hold seven, I have thiry round mags in my 458 Socom they only hold ten. Since I do not plan on building any thing in 223/ 5.56 I guess I am already PC. sort of /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif
 
No limit in my state, neighboring one has five round limit. Mainly I prefer the shorties for hunting, less likely to get in the way.

Nice rifle! Dtech right?

I live in Michigan. We have more laws than we have jobs!
Need the 5 shot for hunting. For target and plinking the sky is the limit on mag capacity.

Hey Tim,
I have an AR Stoner 5 rd mag. that has a magpul follower in it. Never had a prob out of two different ARs. It protrudes just below the magwell. Purchased from Midway.

I have 4 x 5 round mag
4 x 10 round mag /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif They are the same size /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Now to get a AR /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

i cut down a 30 into a 5 . it wasn't that hard .but you have to aneal it to bend the tabs on the bottom.
mine stick out the bottom about 1/2 inch.
