hey guys, i was wondering what you need to do to build an ar in 243 do you use the same lower, mags, bolt? o know the barrel is different of course..

thanks in advance for your responses
 
The .243 Win is too long for the AR-15 but you can get the .243 WSSM with about the same ballistics. The 243 Win are built on the AR-10 platform.
 
What Jim said and just a side note, the wssm calibers can only be purchased through Olympic Arms or Mike Milli (aka Dtech) here on the boards. Mike is the guy that you want to build your upper, he takes more steps to provide you with a very serious shooter.

The other option is to go DPMS or Armalite to get the 243Win round into the AR10 platform. It's heavier, bulkier and costs quite a bit more also.

One other option is to go with a DSA FNFAL in 243Win.
