Ar lower accessories: trigger guards, safeties, charging handles, etc.

The links in the everything AR thread are dead since the move, so I wanted to see what everyone has added to their lower.

Been looking at a trigger guard for a gloved finger, and came up with these three.

Spikes

Magpul

RRA

The RRA is obviously the biggest. Anyone use one? ALso, any suggestions on a latch that will get around a scope?

Unless you're wanting to hunt with REALLY big gloves, most seem to lean towards the spikes/magpul. The poylmer Magpul one is pretty inexpensive as well. The RRA is pretty big, and many don't like the extra bulk to it. If you plan on shooting in huge mittens though, that extra room may come in handy. We sell probably 3-1 Magpul versus RRA. About even on the Spikes-Magpul.

Joe, can you explain the bulk part? How much more would it weigh? I was looking at the MOE polymer, but was concerned about expansion/contraction. Putting together my third order from you, and my second hasn't even shipped yet.:)

I've got the MOE Magpul trigger guard...the Polymer one and it's great. Not as big as others, but I liked the feel better. Expansion/contraction won't be noticed. Assemble it at room temperature so it goes together smooth and you'll likely never have to mess with it again.

I suppose I should have worded that a bit different. It's not so much WEIGHT bulk, but SIZE bulk. It just hangs down a bit more. It's a personal preference thing. There isn't much weight difference, just size.

Knights armament makes a cool lookin one too but I have the magpul aluminum ones on both of mine. Or if you sit down to shoot just push the little detent in and drop the factory one out of the way then you go lots of room.

FWIW, I have one RRA, two aluminum Magpuls, and one polymer
Magpul. I prefer the Magpuls just for the aesthetics. And
as for the polymer versus the aluminum, I like the price on
the polymer version, and at this point I have had no issues
with durability...And expect none. My future enhanced trigger
guard purchases will be Magpul, and likely the polymer version.

Maybe these will help you decide.
The Spike's is billet and the Magpul is the poly, they both do the job fine. You also mentioned charging handle in the title. I replaced a basic CH for the BCM Mod 4 medium on one rifle and the other will remain stock until or when it fails. I do prefer the BCM.
