AR lube of choice

I know that there is 2 schools of thought on maintaining Ar's . Running them dry and useing some lube . In this cold weather and frost my gun is running rough . My gun is a truck gun it stays in there just like the rest of my tools . So what is the lube of choice to keep things running smoothly ?

In cold weather, I either run mine dry, or treated with an application of alcohol and extra fine graphite.. The alcohol evaporates and leaves the graphite in place...You are not normally going to be shooting that much where it will hurt anything, it just lets it function easier...The graphite does make it a little messier to clean up...but worth the peace of mind..

In the Summer, I'll switch back over to a lightweight lube for the bolt carrier group, but still on the dry side..

I use Brake CLP and its OK for Texas weather. You might try Royal Purple’s Synthetic Gun Oil in your cold weather.

Breakfree is all I will ever use but it only gets down in the 20's here. We actually had the most massive snow in 20 plus years last Friday night. We got three inches!

Weapons Shield CLP. I switched over from Breakfree after I tried the WS.

If it was extreme cold, I'd degrease the rifle with brake cleaner and run DriSlide Moly-disulfide dry lube, there's no way that can thicken up.

Mobil 1 0W-20,lightly, not like,"BASTING A TURKEY",right Evil Lurker? If I were using it for a truck gun I would close the cover too.

Automatic transmission.

Use the charging handle as a dip stick.

Yea..one of the best laughs Ive had here on PM. todays chukle was the fella who wanted to dismantle the guys truck interior for that piece of brass...not the same lott.
FWIW, some of my friends like using Tri-Flow. I plan on trying some of that WSCLP next time I place an order.
