ar15 won't cycle.

Okay so aim got back to me quickly. Good news they are willing to take the bcg back no questions asked. I'm sure I could get a replacement but this time around I am going to send it back for a refund.

So I can say this I may have had a bad experience with their bcg but they have great customer service and it's nice to see a place stand behind their stuff. I would not hesitate to order other parts or gear from them.

So for right now I'm leaning towards a fail zero or wmd nickel boron coated bcg. Still a little undecided

My PSA nickel boron coated bcg has been flawless with two different uppers, got it on sale last fall.
If it goes on sale again, I'll have another one... the AR slippery slope..

Here's the stakes, they look the same on both sides, and the allens are secure.

Fingers crossed for ya...

You can do all the investigating and theorizing you want, but it all comes down to the range time.

Good luck

Thanks! Heading to the range after work tonight!

Agreed! I can say I will do business with them in the future. I would even consider one of their bcg's again too if I ever do a budget build. I would just stake the gas key bolts myself. The guys at the shop I was at last night were surprised by my bcg. They said aim has a pretty good reputation.

glad to hear that the BCG fixed it. sometimes a little trial an error is what it takes.

as far as modifying any gun part - just know that if you got one that wasn't staked (and was supposed to be) and DID stake it yourself you've then likely voided any warranty that it comes with by modifying it yourself. Especially if you happened to stake it off angle or something like that.

thats a 'send it back and let them fix it' type of issue.

YMMV.

I suppose that kinda makes sense on the messing with parts. I can say I really like how smooth the rifle seems to operate with the fail zero feels compared to the AIM.

Also want to say thanks to all who offered help!
