Arca swiss in the dark...

I'll tell one on myself concerning that.....

I was getting all ready at the truck, and put my headlamp on over my stocking cap. Part way into the stand, I tried the light & it was dead, but continued on & made the set.

Got back to the truck to switch out headlamps, and found out I had the light on backwards buried into my stocking cap....

I found that by attaching some fur to the arca mount is very easy to find in the dark. It goes in quickly, every time. YMMV

To make it easier, not need to be as exactly lined up to go into the mount, I filed off the leading edges of the plate to help "funnel" it in. When I remove the gun from the tripod, I only back the knob off about 3/4 turn.
