Are ADL stocks more accurate than BDL stocks?

They are stiffer without the cutout through the bottom. I am sure the difference is minor. However, a lot of people have paid me to epoxy a piece of aircraft plywood to close the hole.
And a lot of people have paid for the removed BDL bottom metal to convert ADL to BDL.

If you want that last bit of accuracy go ADL. If more interested in easy unloading go BDL.

I bought an ADL with a plastic stock and then got a Boyds thumhole ADL stock to replace it. Free floated the barrel, aluminum pillars and full action glass bedded. Shot terrible. Man was I disappointed. Changed stocks just for grins and giggles. Put the ADL in a CDL stock and the CDL into the Boyds ADL thumbhole stock. (confused yet?) Now both rifle shoot 1/2 and less consistently. I am not a gun smith or anything near it but here is what I think. What ever type of stock you prefer use it. If you are hunting it sure is nice to have a removable magazine or hinged floor plate to unload with. Pillar bedding, full action bedding makes a great foundation and the stock material makes a difference with the weather and flex. The biggest thing I have noticed is some 700s do not like the barrel free floated and they need pressure at the fore end to put together consistent tight groups. I think if you have a good barrel that is stress relieved and or heavy enough barrel not to move around then free floating is the answer. If you look at all the high dollar sniper rifles they have magazine holes. Its the stock material and the bedding that makes em work.

Theoretically, maybe. In actuality, no.

Not true.
 
It was probably true way back when Remington was using real wood in their stocks. The theory is that no cut out for hinged floor plate makes for stiffer action. Remington has stooped to installing cheap and springy plastic stocks on ADL's that cause accuracy problems.
