Are reloading dies and presses

New to reloading. I've read here that the rcbs rock chucker is a good press. I've also read that Hornady makes great dies. Will these two work together or is it smarter to stay with just one name brand, if so which one? Thanks

Anymore my first choice in rifle dies are Forster followed by Redding. Pistol dies are Dillons.

Hornadys dies are average at best and I personally think the zip spindle thing is a POS.

For single stage presses I like the Forster Co-Ax.

To answer your original question... yes, almost all dies will work in almost all presses that take 7/8x14 thread.

Best dies are Forester, Redding, RCBS, Dillon, CH-4D...and then the rest.

Most knowledgeable loaders will mix dies because one maker has a better sizer, and another maker has a better seater, or other specialty die.

I could have swore I typed that same answer before adding the rest of my post and hitting submit... Yikes! When does halfheimers kick in?

I had a Hornady die set with the early spindle give me problems so I returned it and got Redding.
That was about 6 years ago and since that time I have gotten 7 sets of their newer dies and they are quite good and what I shop for now.

Well I am no expert in all this but I have upgraded to a Co-Ax press and Forster dies. The competition type dies for all my rifles.

I like the old RCBS RC press I used for many a year. I have used RCBS, Hornady, Redding dies but like the Forsetr's the best.
